Transportation
Because Kazakhstan is mostly a landlocked country, greater export production need improved transportation infrastructure. Fortunately, this infrastructure has improved significantly in recent years. JSC Ushkuyu has consistent access to pipeline infrastructure thanks to its strong relationship with the parent business.
Exploration
JSC Ushkuyu has privileged access to exploration acreage as a result of its connections with the Kazakh government and the parent company. The Company has pre-emption rights to buy current oil and gas assets that are being offered for sale as well as access to new territories that have been gained through direct negotiations with the government.
Oil Reserves
In terms of proved hydrocarbon reserves, the Company maintained its lead among Kazakhstan’s major oil companies in 2018 and accomplished its strategic targets. According to SEC categorization, JSC Ushkuyu had proven HC reserves of 421 million boe (278 million toe) as of December 31, 2019.
Production
The two types of JSC Ushkuyu’s core generating assets are as follows: JSC Ushkuyu produced 66.2 percent of the company’s total 2016 crude oil output and held 70.6 percent of JSC Ushkuyu’s oil reserves (as of December 31, 2016).
